Hospitalized in intensive care unit due to COVID-19, age 18 years or higher, referred to rehabilitation, previously independent in activities of daily living, have to meet the safety criteria defined by the Portuguese Society of Physical Rehabilitation Medicine.

Don’t meet the safety criteria, prior muscle weakness, prior pulmonary diseases, acute thrombosis, contraindications to cycling, patients with a diagnosis on admission that excludes the possibility of walking at hospital discharge.
